BarterPay Ottawa Story - BarterPay Canada | Trading Made Simple

BarterPay Ottawa Story

BarterPay has had a presence in Ottawa since 1996.  Some of the early members are still actively trading today, including Zola's, Lieutenant's Pump and Alta Vista Flowers.  From 1996 to 2014, the BarterPay Ottawa franchise was bought, operated and sold a few times.  In January 2014, Marc Lamarche acquired the franchise from the current owner and hired Mark Da Silva as his first TRADEbroker.  Mark had worked in the same role for the previous franchise owner since 2011, this allowed for a smooth transition period for Marc.  In 2014, they had a 20% growth in barter transaction volume and in 2015 they had another 24% growth and are on pace to grow by the same % again in 2016.

Marc has a passion for helping and working with the local business community.  He is invested in making the BarterPay Ottawa market an even bigger success than it is today.  His focus is to make sure that the members receive top quality customer service.  So during 2015 he hired a second TRADEbroker, David Mollica, to make sure that members were getting a focuse level of service.
