I’m a senior-level marketing communications professional with a broad range of expertise in business-to-business and consumer-facing initiatives. My career has been in support of causes and cultural institutions. I’ve worked for Imagine Canada, a national charity working to strengthen the charitable sector, the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, and the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre.
As the founder of Social Good Marcom, I provide consulting services to help charities, nonprofits and other social good entities to shine a light on their cause. I’m currently redeveloping the Marketing for Nonprofits course for Ryerson University’s Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education for the 2020 spring semester.
I have a Masters Certificate in Marketing Communications Leadership with the Schulich School of Business Executive Education Centre and three leadership certificates from the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity for Foundations of Purpose, Truth and Reconciliation Through Right Relations, and Leading in the Middle programs. I’ve also studied Communications, obtaining dual specialties in marketing and advertising, at the University of Winnipeg and hold a diploma in Arts Management from Confederation College.
Outside of work, I enjoy visiting family and friends in Thunder Bay, Ontario, home of the Sleeping Giant. In Toronto, you can often find me at the Art Gallery of Ontario in the Group of Seven or Henry Moore collections. If I’m not out in the city, I might be home watching Star Trek or making sure Buffy the Mouse Slayer has an ample amount of kitty treats.
